Austin Hogan

Austin Hogan has been teaching for over two years and music is far-and-away his favorite subject to teach. Austin has been playing guitar since 2010, and in that time has recorded, led bands, and performed live. He is well-versed in the styles of classic rock, blues, country, and indie pop.

Austin’s approach to teaching is very much student-centered — he enjoys getting to know his students and their musical interests, and tailors each lesson accordingly. Austin has taught students of all ages and ability levels.

At Opus Austin teaches acoustic and electric guitar in the following styles: beginning classical and jazz guitar and specialization in classic rock, rock, indie rock, blues, folk, Americana, and country.

Teaching Philosophy

Learning an instrument is among the most rewarding things a person can do. The neurological benefits have been well documented. You can learn to play at any age but the best time to start is NOW!
