Eric Martens

Eric Martens is a trained musician experienced in education, broadcasting, music production, and performance. During his time at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, Eric worked in the Music Library. After graduating with his Bachelor of Music Education, Eric went on to work at the Sioux Center Community Schools as a Vocal Music Teacher. Through private lessons, he prepared students for recitals, auditions, and honor choirs, as well as introduced them to music technology, production, and composition. Eric also directed choirs and show choirs, taught general music centered on the ukulele, and was the music director of the middle school musical.

Currently, Eric works for the remote online teaching program VIPKid, where he teaches English as a second language to students in China. He is certified to teach K-12, instrumental, vocal, and general music.

  • $35 / half hour lesson in home
  • $55 / hour lesson at Opus
  • $60 / hour lesson in home

Attendance policy

If I have to cancel a lesson the student will receive a make-up lesson.

If a student cancels they must communicate with me within 24 hours of their lesson in order to receive a make-up. Less than 24 hours is not guaranteed a make-up and may not be entitled to a refund unless there is a family emergency, extreme weather, or severe illness.
