Jack Schabert

Jack Schabert is a musician and teacher in the Minneapolis/St Paul area. He is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education at St. Olaf College. Jack frequently performs in jazz groups around the Twin Cities and has released an album of original music with the Roseville Jazz Trio.

Jack has studied percussion, drum set, piano, composition, and conducting. He began composing in 2018 and has since written an array of works for small jazz ensembles. Jack started studying conducting in high school with Matt Dehnel and Warren Starr. He then organized and directed the first ever Maternity of Mary Saint Andrew’s Summer Band Program in the summer of 2019. The program featured two bands and a percussion ensemble, and was held as a part of his Eagle Scout project. He teaches summer camps, group lessons, drum set, percussion, beginner piano, and jazz studies. In his free time, Jack enjoys hiking with his dog, camping, and writing music. Attendance policy

Students must notify the instructor 24 hours in advance of their lesson in order to guarantee a make-up lesson or refund. Lessons canceled within 24 hours of the lesson will be considered paid lessons except in the case of emergencies. The teacher and student will work out an appropriate time for any make-up lessons. All lessons canceled by the instructor will be rescheduled or refunded.
