Jack Schabert

Jack Schabert is a Twin Cities based musician, composer, and educator. He performs professionally around the metro, and is an Instructor of Percussion, Piano, and Drum Set at Opus Music Academy. He holds a Bachelor of Music Degree in Instrumental Music Education from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota.

His group, the Blue Ox Jazz Trio, is consistently upholding a busy performance schedule, performing at restaurants, clubs, weddings, private events, and countless retirement homes every year. They also perform at the Twin Cities Saturday Night Jazz Series, and at the Twin Cities Jazz Festival. Jack has performed with international jazz artists Steve Wilson, Melissa Aldana, Danilo Perez, and 9 time Grammy Award winning trumpeter Wynton Marsalis. Attendance policy

Students must notify the instructor 24 hours in advance of their lesson in order to guarantee a make-up lesson or refund. Lessons canceled within 24 hours of the lesson will be considered paid lessons except in the case of emergencies. The teacher and student will work out an appropriate time for any make-up lessons. All lessons canceled by the instructor will be rescheduled or refunded.
