Kira Seidel is a freelance French horn player and private teacher based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Seidel has appeared as a tour soloist in Spain with the St. Olaf Band on their European tour and has also soloed with the St. Olaf Orchestra after winning their annual Senior Soloist Concerto Competition. Seidel has performed throughout the country as a principal ensemble player, as well as China, Spain, France, and Italy.
After beginning piano lessons at age four, Kira continued to study piano in addition to horn through the end of her bachelor’s degree, and enjoys teaching both piano and horn lessons. She has taught privately for eight years, and has held studios in Phoenix, Dallas, and Minneapolis.
Kira recently finished her Masters of Music in horn performance at Arizona State University. Her primary instructors include John Ericson, as well as Herb Winslow while earning her Bachelors of Music at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota. In her free time, Kira enjoys baking, traveling, and spending plenty of time with her friends and family.
