Teaching Philosophy
Drumming should be fun and a meaningful experience. It can be meditative, it can be intense, and it can be deep and contemplative. I seek to teach students how to lead a band with confidence, elegance and style, all the while maintaining an attitude of graciousness for the craft and fellow musicians. I focus on a blend of technique, pocket, and conceptualization of ideas which combine to make a successful musician.
