Conner Gorby

Conner Gorby received their Bachelors Degree in Music Theory/Composition from Hardin-Simmons University. They then received their Masters Degree in Clarinet Performance from The university of Texas at Arlington. During their time at Hardin-Simmons, Conner performed with a group called the Key City Jazz quintet, as well as in the pit orchestra for productions of “A funny thing Happened on the way to the Forum” and “Hedwig and the angry Inch.” Conner enjoys music in all of its forms and their main goal is to bring that enjoyment to those that they Teach.

In their Downtime, Conner enjoys spending time with their spouse exploring the area. Conner also enjoys playing “Dungeons and Dragons” and disc golf in their free time.

Cancellation Policy

Lessons cancelled within 24 hours will be considered paid with no makeup guaranteed. Certain exceptions may be made at the discretion of the instructor.

Teaching Philosophy

My main goals as a teacher are to make sure that you are learning at a pace that is suitable for you, and to make sure that you enjoy your time learning. Everything I do is in service of those goals. Because of this, if at anytime, you feel that I am moving through subjects too slow or too fast please feel free to let me know. I am also always happy to take any requests you have. If you hear a piece of music that you really like, or a new technique that you would like to look at, I am happy to make time for those things during our lessons.
