The days and weeks following any performance are rich with joy, pride, excitement, frustration, and inspiration. So far in 2026, we have had a winter student recital, our annual spring faculty concert, and just 2 weeks ago, our student spring recital. Amidst those performances, I also had my own gigs as a pianist and vocalist. To say that we have been busy is an understatement of the century…ok maybe not that dramatic but I think the concept is relatable for many of us

I am exhausted. Yet at the same time, I’m exhilarated by the progress our students have made, and how much our instructors have grown professionally in these 5 months. It is truly something to behold. Remember my message in May to take time and care in designing the composition of your own life? I find that taking a step back and looking at my life’s composition from a distance helps me fine tune each detail with the care it deserves.

Thank you to the sweet family who gave me these gorgeous daffodils at the student recital.  You know who you are😉They reminded me daily of how delicate and beautiful life can be.

Cheers to an amazing summer full of music and adventure,
