I experienced a great loss this month: my beloved dog Delilah passed away. She was like a soulmate to me.
Through this grief, much comfort has been found in sitting at my piano and playing simple music, at a slower tempo, to allow the tears to flow and my heart to begin to heal. This is yet another real life application of growing up studying music – to be able to play it not only in the good times, but especially through the hard times.
I know I’ve said it before, but I truly mean it: thank you for trusting us folks here at Opus to teach and guide you and your kids the magic of music. It’s no small feat, and it is an honor to serve you.
Keep playing, keep singing and humming, and keep the light in your life that is music.
